Rochette, Joseph, 96, of Bluff Street, Riverside, died peacefully on January 11, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Margaret “Peggy” (Carlson) Rochette.

Born in Winnipegosis, Canada, a son of the late Alphonse and Blanche (Mouillerat) Rochette, he lived in Riverside for 62 years.

Mr. Rochette was a technician for the Pratt & Whitney Company, East Hartford, CT for 30 years before retiring in 1986.

Joseph enjoyed roller-skating and later in his life judging competitions.

Mr. Rochette was a United States Army Veteran serving during WWII.

Besides his wife of 62 years, he is survived by a son, Leonard A. Rochette of Riverside; a daughter, Linda A. Langevin of Riverside; four grandchildren, Leonard J. Rochette, Matthew R. Rochette, George D. Langevin and Megan L. Langevin and five great-granddaughters, Devon, Cori, Lily, Sophie and Cora. He was the brother of the late Rita Gaboriault, Mary Jane Carvalho, Eva St. James, Frances Rochette and Ovila Rochette.

His funeral service will be held on Sunday January 14, 2018 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 6 p.m. Calling hours are Sunday 4-6 p.m.

    I was a pleasure to get to know Joe from our times at Dunkin Donuts in Riverside. He always had a special twinkle in his eyes, I thought he was a little Irishmen. It was also because quite often he wore a green shirt or sweater!

  12. I worked with Joe for many years at Pratt & Whitney. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. He had a good sense of humor and never a harsh word came out of his mouth. He will be missed. I wish to extend my condolences to his family.Rest in peace my friend.
