Carter, Madeline, M., 95, of Bluff Street, Riverside, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on August 11, 2015. She was the wife of the late Thomas G. Carter.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Joseph R. and Elizabeth (Deering) Conlan, she lived in Riverside for 60 years.

Madeline was an example to her family of the true meaning of dignity of life from conception to natural death.

She is survived by six daughters, Elizabeth J. Nadrowski, Miriam A. Bergeron, Doreen E. Carter, Anne B. Hughes, Bernadette M. Callahan and Mary Weakley, all of Riverside; a son, Joseph C. Carter of Riverside, 27 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren and friend, Mary LaSalle of Riverside. She was the mother of the late Paula J. McEnaney, Thomas G. Carter, Stephen J. Carter and Francis E. Carter and sister of the late James Conlan, Joseph Conlan and Mary Chu.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday August 15, 2015 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 35O Willett Avenue, Riverside at 9:30 a.m. with a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount St. Mary’s Cemetery.
