William J. Vendituoli

Vendituoli, William J., ‘Billy’, 94, of Lincoln Avenue, died peacefully on August 26, 2016. He was the devoted husband of the late Dora S. (Calitri) Vendituoli, they were married for 54 years.

A lifelong resident of Barrington, he was the son of the late Michael and Philomena (Cuzzone) Vendituoli.

Mr. Vendituoli was a supervisor at the Barrington Post Office for 26 years.

William served in active duty as a U.S. Marine in World War II and in Iwo Jima. He was awarded the Bronze Star with One Gold Cluster and the Purple Heart with One Gold Cluster for his heroic achievements in action.

Mr. Vendituoli was a communicant of Holy Angels Church.

He is survived by a sister, Gloria Suriani of Barrington and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Isabelle Carmone, Angelina Squillante, D. Thomas, Frank and Michael Vendituoli.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday August 30, 2016 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 9 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Church, 341 Maple Avenue, Barrington at 11 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Santa Maria del Campo Cemetery, Upland Way, Barrington.
