Dolores M. St. Angelo

Date of Passing:
Dolores M. (Sanchez) St. Angelo, age 89, formerly of Sowams road in Barrington, passed away unexpectedly on June 15, 2025, at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts. A devoted wife, cherished mother, and proud grandmother, she was the beloved wife of the late Giovanni St. Angleo, with whom she shared 60 years of love and marriage.
Born in Roswell, New Mexico, Dolores was the daughter of the late Isidoro R. Sanchez and Leandra (Gomez) Sanchez. Her early years in Roswell shaped a life defined by strength, compassion, and quiet resilience. She eventually made her home in Barrington, Rhode Island, where she lived for 40 years before moving to Swansea, Massachusetts, where she spent the last 12 years of her life surrounded by family.
A dedicated professional, Dolores worked as a bookkeeper for 40 years, balancing her career with an unwavering commitment to her family. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life-reading a good book, sharing a laugh over a card game, dancing to a favorite song, and most of all, spending treasured time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dolores leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and faith. She is survived by her two loving daughters, donna M. Pettis of Montgomery Village, Maryland, and Diana LaCharite of Swansea, Massachusetts; her four adoring grandchildren, Michael LaCharite of Swansea, David Merritt of Bristol, Tony Pettis of San Diego, and James Couitt of Massachusetts; four great-grandchildren, Aaron, Avery, and Mia Merritt, and Charlie Lira; and a precious great-great-grandchild, Isla. She is also survived by four beloved sisters-Mary Robinson, Geneva Silva, Rita Flores, and Frances Najar-and three dear brothers- Frank Sanchez, Ross Sanchez, and Thomas Sanchez.
To those who knew her, Dolores was a source of comfort and joy-a woman whose presence lit up every room.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 10 a.m. in the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.
Nancy and I are deeply saddened by the passing of our beloved sister, Delores. Our prayers are with her daughters Donna and Diane and their families. The Sanchez family was truly blessed to have had such a loving and caring sister. We will miss all the times just sitting around and reminiscing about the days growing up in Roswell. Her parents and siblings treasured and loved her very much. May she be granted eternal peace with her husband (Angie).
Love you sister!

Sending our deepest sympathies and love to you and your family during this sad time.
Donna & Diane: I know words can’t take away the hurt you’re feeling, but I want you to know how much I care. Sending you comfort, love and strength in this time of loss.
