Carlos R. Miranda

Date of Passing:

June 30, 2025

Carlos R. Miranda, 70, of Bullocks Point Avenue, Riverside, passed away unexpectedly on June 30, 2025, at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. He was the devoted husband of Maria T. (Castro) Miranda, his beloved wife of 44 years.

Born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, Carlos was the son of the late Roberto and Elsia Julia (Garcia) Miranda. For the past six years, he made his home in Riverside, where he continued to share his warmth and generosity with everyone he met.

A master tailor by trade and passion, Carlos spent 52 years perfecting his craft. For the last 28 years, he proudly owned and operated Corner Cleaners and Alterations in Cranston. His customers weren’t just clients — they were part of the community he nurtured with care, respect, and unmatched dedication. Known for his meticulous work and kind demeanor, Carlos earned not just a loyal following but genuine affection from those he served.

Outside of his work, Carlos found joy in life’s simple pleasures — tending to his garden, working with his hands, and most of all, spending time with his family.

Carlos leaves behind a legacy of love in the lives of those who survive him: his wife Maria; his three children, Esdras O. Miranda of Riverside, Edward J. Miranda of West Warwick, and Nuvia Y. Miranda of Riverside; and his seven grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and happiness. He was also the cherished brother of the late Yolanda, Leticia, and Estella.

Carlos will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His hands may have sewn countless garments, but it was his spirit, compassion, and love that truly stitched his family and community together.

His funeral service will be private.
