Karen M. Gregory

Date of Passing:

August 27, 2025

Karen Marie (Siravo) Gregory, 69, of Beverly Road, Riverside, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025, at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. She was the beloved wife and lifelong partner of Richard C. Gregory.

Born in Providence, Karen was the cherished daughter of the late Theodore and Eleanor (Foster) Siravo. She spent nearly her entire life—67 years—in the Riverside community, where her presence was a quiet and enduring source of love and warmth.

Karen dedicated much of her life to nurturing others, both in her family and through the Home Day Care she lovingly provided. Her gentle spirit, unwavering kindness, and deep devotion to the children in her care left an indelible mark on all who knew her. A faithful communicant of St. Brendan Church, Karen found comfort and community in her faith, which guided her life and gave strength to those around her.

Karen’s legacy of love, compassion, and quiet strength will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have been touched by her care.

Besides her husband, Karen is survived by her devoted daughter, Cara L. Gregory of Riverside; her loving son, Richard C. Gregory Jr. of Brooklyn, CT; and two treasured grandchildren, Shawn Mangum and Kylie Gregory, who brought immense joy to her life. She also leaves behind her dear brother, Terry Siravo of Warwick, and her sister, Susan Zeigler of Riverside. Karen was predeceased by her sister, Martha Brown.

Her Funeral will be held from the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside on a date and time to be announced. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.

  1. I am so sorry to hear that Karen has passed! She was one-of-a-kind and did so much in Riverside that it seemed like she was everywhere and knew everyone! She was a great person and was a wonderful friend to many, especially my mom. Karen helped to care for many young people (many now adults!) in our community and her passing leaves a void in many people’s lives. I’ll always remember her pumpkin carving parties, the car shows, and coming by my parent’s house. My deepest condolences to Ricky, Cara and Shaun, RJ, Andrea and Kylie and all who care for her. May she rest in peace!
