Antoinette E. Leveille
Date of Passing:
Antoinette E. (Griffith) Leveille, 78, of Forbes Street, Riverside, died unexpectedly on September 7, 2025, at her home.
Born in Lancaster, Ohio, a daughter of the late Robert and Hazel (Purcel) Griffith, she lived in Riverside for 15 years, previously residing in St. Petersburg, FL for 10 years.
Antoinette received a master’s degree from Rhode Island College and went on to dedicate over 30 years of her life as a therapist, offering healing and hope to countless individuals. Her work was more than a profession—it was her calling.
She was a founding member of the Rhode Island Rape Crisis Center. A tireless women’s rights activist, Antoinette fought for dignity, justice, and equality with the same fierce love she offered her family.
She found joy in the world around her—whether it was following politics with passion or nurturing the pets she loved dearly. Her intellect, empathy, and wit will be remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
She is survived by her son, John DiGioia of North Kingstown, and her daughter, Amy K. Dziedzic of Chicopee, MA. She also leaves behind two beloved grandchildren, Indarra DiGioia and Zoe Dziedzic; her brother, Robert Griffith of Mesa, Arizona; and two nephews, Even and Gregory Griffith. She was the sister of the late Michael Griffith.
Antoinette’s legacy lives on through the lives she touched.

As a member of the class of 1965 North Kingstown HS, I remember Toni as happy, silly and fun loving, she will be missed by her classmates, Sheila
I’m thinking of you all. Toni was a really special person and am lucky to have had the honor to know her for the last 6+ years. I loved her spunk and stories of her remarkable life. She was so interesting and humble, and made me laugh every time I saw her. We had great conversations about all topics- politics, animals, her children and grandchildren were some of her favorites.
She was really one of a kind and will be sorely missed.
My deepest condolences on the passing of Toni. She made a lasting impact on my life, and I will always be grateful for the kindness and light she shared. Please know that my thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

My thoughts are with you. On our first date we went to Jamestown she wore a white dress and turned all the heads in the restaurant.
