Dolores Morency
Date of Passing:
Dolores (Nowak) Morency, 74, of Wheeler Street in Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at the Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. She was the devoted wife of the late Paul Morency, with whom she shared many cherished years of marriage.
Born in Central Falls, Dolores was the beloved daughter of the late Edward and Antonina (Misiewicz) Nowak and remained a lifelong resident of Pawtucket, a community she held close to her heart. She earned her Associate’s degree from Bryant College and went on to enjoy a fulfilling 20-year career as a medical secretary at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island, retiring in 2016.
Dolores later found joy and connection working at Market Basket in South Attleboro, where she greeted coworkers and customers alike with kindness and warmth.
Dolores was a woman of quiet faith and a communicant of St. John Paul II Catholic Church. Her passions were simple and sincere—she found peace in tending her garden, losing herself in a good book, and enjoying the company of her loyal dog. Above all, she treasured time spent dining and laughing with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Keith Paul Morency of Jacksonville, Florida and Jessica Lynn Morency of Pawtucket. Dolores is also survived by her two sisters, Carol Scott of California and Barbara Carpenter of Warwick, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Diana Martini.
Dolores’s life was a testament to grace, perseverance, and the quiet strength of a woman who deeply loved her family and community.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday September 17, 2025 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 6 pm. Calling Hours are from 4-6 pm.
