Kelly J. Brennan

Date of Passing:

November 27, 2025

Kelly J. Brennan, 67, of Swansea, MA, passed away unexpectedly at home on November 27, 2025.

Born in Providence, Kelly was the son of the late Raymond P. and Dorothy (Devlin) Brennan. He made his home in Swansea for 54 years, where he built a life rooted in routine, quiet joys, and dedication to those he loved.

Kelly enjoyed a long and accomplished career as an Information Technologist, working faithfully for 42 years before retiring in 2025. Over the course of his professional journey, he lent his talents to IBM, Fidelity, CVS, and RBS Citizens Bank, earning the respect of colleagues and forming friendships that lasted well beyond the workday.

A graduate of the New England Institute of Technology, Kelly possessed a natural curiosity and love of learning. He enjoyed reading about history, traveling to Ireland, World Politics and staying active through daily exercise. He found peace and delight in the simple rhythms of nature—especially in feeding wildlife. Kelly also appreciated a good cigar and gave generously to many charities, always mindful of the needs of others.

Kelly is survived by a son, Reily Brennan of Providence, and his devoted sister, Rita A. Brennan of East Providence. Their lives were deeply enriched by his company, gentle nature, and unwavering love.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. Dominic’s Church, 1277 Grand Army Highway, Swansea, MA, on Thursday December 4, 2025 at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be private in St. Patrick Cemetery, Fall River, MA.

Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kelly’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, would be deeply appreciated.
