Marie P. Lamb

Date of Passing:

December 12, 2025

Marie P. Lamb, 87, of Sabin Street, Riverside, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025, at Rhode Island Hospital, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.

Born in Providence, Marie was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Anita (DeAngelis) Fagiano. She made her home in Riverside for more than 51 years, where she became a familiar and cherished presence in both her neighborhood and parish community.

For 40 devoted years, Marie served as the office manager at St. Brendan Parish, a role she fulfilled with dedication, warmth, and an unwavering sense of service until her retirement in 2019. A lifelong communicant of St. Brendan Church, her faith guided her daily life and shaped the kindness she shared so freely with others.

Marie found joy in the simple pleasures that made life rich—reading a good book, spending time at the beach, celebrating all things Irish, and challenging herself and others in spirited games of Scrabble, especially during her ongoing “tournament” with her beloved grandson, Ben. She loved trying new foods, delighting others with unique and thoughtful gifts, and relaxing while watching football or Jeopardy. Above all, Marie treasured time spent with her family, whose lives she touched with her love, humor, and gentle wisdom.

She leaves behind her loving daughters, Marguerite M. Lamb and her husband John Bellwoar, of Glastonbury, CT, Heidi E. Lamb of Riverside, and Anita N. Perron of North Scituate; and her five adoring grandchildren, Benjamin, Evan, and Dominic Lamb, and Jacob and Sophie Bellwoar, to whom she was affectionately known as “Grandma M” or “Nanei.” She is also survived by her brother, David Fagiano and his wife, Doreen, of Spotsylvania, VA, and her devoted dog, Luna. Marie was the beloved mother of the late Patrick J. Lamb.

Marie will be remembered for her generous spirit, steadfast faith, and the love she so beautifully gave to all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside. Burial will follow at Swan Point Cemetery, Blackstone Boulevard, Providence.

Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in Marie’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be deeply appreciated.
