Dorothy M. (Enos) Hagan, 92, of East Shore Road, Narragansett, died peacefully on December 14, 2025, at the Hope Health Hullitar Hospice Center in Providence, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Hagan Jr.
She was born in 1933 to Irene and Maurice Enos and grew up in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, alongside her three siblings. She was predeceased by her brother Donald Enos and her sister Barbara Enos and is survived by her beloved sister, Rosemary (Enos) Fuyat.
Dorothy graduated from Pawtucket West High School in 1952 and later followed her creative passion by earning a certificate in interior design from the Rhode Island School of Design, a talent she carried with her throughout her life.
She shared many wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Thomas Hagan, who predeceased her.
Later in life, Dorothy made her home on Great Island in Narragansett, a place she truly loved. The beach brought her peace and happiness, and she treasured her time there. She was a member of the Great Island Association and greatly enjoyed the friendships and sense of community she found through its many gatherings and events.
She also cherished the many winters spent in Longboat Key, Florida, creating special memories with family and friends.
Dorothy leaves behind her loving children , Thomas Hagan, Donna McCormick, and Kevin Hagan, and also two daughter’s-in-law in Susan and Karen Hagan and son-in-law, Philip McCormick. She was a devoted grandmother to Bridget (Oscar), Evan (Kelsey), Philip Michael, Kaitlyn, Conner, Kelsey, and Thomas, and a proud great-grandmother to Oliver and Penny. She was the companion of the late Bill Heaney.
Dorothy will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her warmth, and love of family.
Family and friends are invited to attend Calling Hours on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 4–7 pm in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Rhode Island.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 11 am in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 864 Point Judith Road, Narragansett, Rhode Island. A private burial will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dorothy’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, Maryland, 21741.

My fun times with Dorothy date back to junior high school, where we first became friends in 1947. I think of her often and will miss her. Sending love and prayers to the girl I always called my “best friend.”

Mrs. Hagan was a wonderful lady. It’s so sad to see her go. We’ll always remember her smile, the sound of her voice and that twinkle in her eye. Warm thoughts and prayers to the dearest Hagan Family.
