Medeiros, Agnes M., (Mahar), 79, formerly of Glenrose Drive, Riverside, passed away on Friday November 9, 2018. She was the wife of the late Richard A. Medeiros.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late John J. and Elizabeth (Kearns) Mahar, she lived in Riverside for 12 years.

Mrs. Medeiros was a Registered Nurse at Hattie Ide Chaffee Nursing Home for 30 years before retiring in 2009. She was dedicated to her patients and their families.

Agnes was a graduate of Bay View Academy Class of 1957 and received her Registered Nurse Associates degree from Bristol Community College.

She is survived by a son, Corey Medeiros of Providence; two loving sisters, Elaine A. Maher of Norton, MA and Mary M. Ewart of Smithfield; twelve nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday November 13, 2018 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:15 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Calling hours are Monday November 12, 2018 from 3-7 p.m. Flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in Agnes’s memory to Alzheimer’s Research, P.O.     We are so sorry for your loss. We will always remember the 4th of Julys at Agnes & Dick’s house. The Christmas holidays, they made for our families and how much joy they gave to us. Agnes is now resting in peace with Dick in heaven. God Bless them both. God bless the Maher and Medeiros families in this time of grieving.

  4. Corey, Elaine & Mary Margaret, We are so sorry for your lost. Agnes will be missed very much. We will remember the wonderful 4th of July’s that Agnes and Dick had every year. We also will remember the Christmas holidays that Agnes and Dick labor over for us. Agnes and Dick are now in heaven with each other resting in peace. God bless them both.
