O’Neil, Alice M., (Sullivan), 94, formerly of Indian Road, Riverside, died peacefully on February 5, 2017. She was the wife of the late John J. O’Neil.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Timothy and Elizabeth (Hagan) Sullivan, she lived in Riverside for 62 years and Barrington for 2 years.

Mrs. O’Neil was a communicant of St. Brendan Church and a former member of the church choir where she performed in front of the Pope John Paul II at the Vatican in 1990. She also was a former member of the East Providence Community Chorus, the Barrington Women’s Club and volunteered at the Meeting Street School.

She is survived by her four children, John J. O’Neil and his wife Deborah of Burrillville, Michael T. O’Neil of MA; Judith M. Brown and her husband Dennis of Riverside and Sharon Thayer and her husband John of Barrington; a sister, Ann Ramos of Bristol and six grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Elizabeth Lewis, Raymond and Catherine Sullivan.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday February 9, 2017 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside from 4-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday February 10, 2017 in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. Graveside burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
