Snell, Alice, M., 87, of Wampanoag Trail, Barrington, died peacefully on Saturday February 6, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

A lifelong resident of Barrington, she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Alice (McGuire) Chellel.

Mrs. Snell was the co-owner and bookkeeper of Chellel’s Super Market for 50 years before retiring in 1990.

Alice was a communicant of St. Luke Church and was a graduate of Barrington High School.

Alice enjoyed reading, puzzles, playing the piano and was a talented artist.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia A. Wasilenko of Florida and Kathleen J. McGee of Florida; a son, William E. Snell of Natick, MA; eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and a great-great grandson. She was the mother of the late John Snell and sister of the late Estelle McHugh, Walter and Raymond Chellel.

Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday February 9, 2016 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in Santa Maria del Campo Cemetery, Upland Way, Barrington.
