Helgerson, Alvin, H., 91, of Westbrook Drive, died unexpectedly on November 9, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Beverly Jean (Stone) Helgerson.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Harold and Anna (Lindberg) Helgerson, he lived in Seekonk, MA for 31 years previously residing in Dighton, MA.

Mr. Helgerson was a salesman for the Ballou/Johnson & Nichols Co. in the Zenith Division for 20 years. He also was a realtor for the Charlene Mullen Real Estate Co. for 10 years.

Alvin was a Freemason. He was a member of the Barrington Baptist Church, the East Providence Senior Center, the Rhode Island and Massachusetts Realtors Associations, the Navy League and the Segregansett Country Club. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, hunting, fishing and playing cards.

Mr. Helgerson was a United States Army Air Force Veteran serving during World War II.

Besides his wife of 28 years, he is survived by a daughter, Gail Wilde of Providence; a sister, Esther L. Ceccato of Swansea, MA; two step-children, Joseph R. Bullard of Riverside and Joann Haar of East Providence and two grandchildren. He was the step-father of the late Christine M. Bullard.

His funeral service will be held on Thursday November 20, 2014 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 11 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Swansea, MA.
