Hoag, Ann (Daniello), 55, of New Meadow Road, Barrington, died unexpectedly on August 17, 2021 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College, Pennsylvania. She was the beloved wife of William K. Hoag.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Lawrence R. Daniello and Phyllis C. (Corrado) Daniello, she was a lifelong resident of Barrington.

Mrs. Hoag was a school psychologist for the Somerset Public School Department for the past 15 years.

Ann graduated from Barrington High School Class of 1984, University of Rhode Island Class of 1988 and she then went on to Rhode Island College where she earned a Master’s Degree.

Mrs. Hoag was a communicant of St. Luke Church. She was active in the Barrington hockey community and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her loving family.

Besides her husband of twenty three years, she is survived by her children, Katherine A. Hoag and Timothy K. Hoag both of Barrington; two sisters, Adriana L. Coury and her husband Kenneth of Barrington and Angela M. Masi of Barrington; a brother, Peter C. Daniello and his wife Deborah of Barrington and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister in law of the late Donald Masi.

Her Funeral will be held on Wednesday August 25, 2021 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Forest Chapel Cemetery, Nayatt Road, Barrington.

Calling Hours are Tuesday 4-7 p.m. Flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in Ann’s memory to The Tomorrow Fund, RI Hospital Campus, P.O Box Suite #422, 593 Eddy Street, Providence, RI 02915 would be deeply appreciated.

  15. I am so very sorry for your terrible loss of such an amazing person. Ann was a colleague who I learned from each and every day. She made it her mission to know our students and their families to ensure that she supported them fully. She was a strong advocate who never had any intention except to do what was best for each and every child. Ann was well respected for her knowledge, determination, experience, and love for every child who sat before her. She will be greatly missed as she was a very special person with a beautiful soul.

I am sad to hear of her unexpected passing and she will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.     My sincere condolences to you and your family. I was in Watch Hill last week on vacation and drove past the Ocean House and remembered that your wedding reception was there. I know that it is a difficult time but we must try to remember the good times. My thoughts and friendship is with you.

  26. Ann was such a happy person, a great listener and a friendly coworker. She was an excellent counselor to the children, as well. Her laugh was so infectious that even if someone was in a bad mood, it helped draw a smile and would brighten the day.
    We all loved Ann and will dearly miss her smile and laughter.
