Mangalo, Antoine G., 89, of Peck Avenue, Barrington, died peacefully at home on July 21, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Lily M. (Barishian) Mangalo.

Born in Syria, a son of the late Armenian Genocide survivors, George and Souraya (Azrak) Mangalo, he lived in Barrington for 50 years.

Mr. Mangalo worked at Marshall Electric, Providence for 31 years before retiring in 1997.

Antoine was a communicant of St. Luke Church. He enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with his loving family.

Besides his wife of 57 years, he is survived by a son, George A. Mangalo and his husband Paul Brigido of Providence; two daughters, Renee L. Carino and her husband Frank of Great River, NY and Claudine E. Almeida of Mendon, MA; three grandchildren, John W. Almeida III, Anna R. Carino and Julia E. Carino and his brothers and sisters, Evelyn Kalmbach, Lucia Mangalo, Joseph Mangalo, Samira Mangalo and Michael Mangalo. He was the brother of the late Antoinette, Nastri and Nasrallah.

His funeral will be held on Monday July 25, 2022 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 10 a.m. Graveside burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday 5-8 p.m.

  3. Although I have not spent a lot of time with Tony, the man he portrayed was kind loving thoughtful and generous. He loved his family, children and community. His sister Simara shared many stories about Tony his wife and family. He was truly blessed. May he rest in peace.
