DeRosa, Antoinette M., 92, formerly of Beach Road, died peacefully at Mansion Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Central Falls, RI, with the caring support of both Mansion and Home and Hospice Care of RI staff, on November 29, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Antonia (Ferro) Campanella, was a longtime resident of Bristol, and later of Barrington, and was a 1937 graduate of Bristol’s Colt Memorial High School. After working in various positions in Bristol, she retired from the position of Confidential Secretary for the Bristol School Department in 1980.

She is survived by a son; Stephen J. DeRosa and his wife Lynne Shearer DeRosa, of Attleboro, MA, a daughter; Mary Elizabeth (Betsy) McCabe and her husband Martin McCabe, of Barrington, RI, four grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth DeRosa, of Providence and Alexandra Michelle DeRosa, of Attleboro, MA, and Katherine McCabe and Carly McCabe of Barrington, RI, by her brother, Stephen Campanella of Verona, PA, and by numerous nieces and nephews throughout the United States.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Salvatore A. DeRosa, by three sisters, Josephine Giglio, Rosalie ‘Lena’ Fasula, and Angela Rose Verdi, and by four brothers, Joseph L. Campanella, Paul J. Campanella, Samuel S. Campanella and Domenic J. Campanella.

Mrs. DeRosa was devoted to her family and friends, both local and distant, was an extraordinary cook and baker, and was a wonderful grandmother.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday December 2, 2010, at 10 a.m. in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Bristol.
