Castro, Antonia, ‘Tina’, (Reis), 82, formerly of Dartmouth Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on May 8, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Castro.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Antonio and Delvina (Lopes) Reis, she lived in Riverside for 50 years.

Mrs. Castro was a Registered Nurse at Rhode Island Hospital for 41 years before retiring in 1996.

Antonia was a communicant of St. Brendan Church. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, the Forever Young Club and was a former Girl Scout Leader. She also was a member of the Rhode Island School of Nursing Alumni Association.

She is survived by three daughters, Nancy A. Castro of Bristol, Paula M. Senra of Riverside and Lisa J. Castro of Philadelphia, PA; a brother, Foster Rei of Florida; a sister, Caroline DeMoura of Providence; two beloved grandchildren, Grace M. Senra and Benjamin A. Senra and a son-in-law, Arthur Senra. She was the sister of the late Victor Reis.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday May 13, 2017 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 9:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pawtucket.
