DaCosta, Antonio, ‘Tony’, 74, of George Street, died peacefully at home on October 28, 2016 surrounded by his loving family after a five year battle of Frontotemporal Degeneration. He was the beloved husband of Beverly Ann (Fratus) DaCosta.

Born in St. Michael, Portugal, a son of the late Manuel and Ernestine (Santos) DaCosta, he lived in Seekonk, MA for many years.

Mr. DaCosta was a machinist for the Davol Mfg. for 32 years before retiring in 1997. He then worked in the Seekonk School Department before retiring in 2011.

Besides his wife of 51 years, he is survived by a daughter, Beverly A. Halpern and her husband Eric of Warwick; two sons, Anthony M. DaCosta and his wife Debbie of Rehoboth, MA and Jeffrey M. DaCosta and his wife Sarah of Boston, MA; two sisters, Irene Melo of Bristol and Marie Teotonio of Bristol; a brother, Manuel DaCosta of Central Falls and four grandchildren, Kevin and Kyle Farrar and Matthew and Samantha DaCosta. He was the brother of the late Edward and Joseph DaCosta.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday November 2, 2016 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Taunton Avenue, Seekonk, MA at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Seekonk Cemetery.
