Petit, Aram M., 91, of Allen Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on Friday March 23, 2012 at the Waterview Villa Home, East Providence. He was the beloved husband of Mary C. (Snow) Petit.

Born in Shawinigan Falls, Quebec, Canada, a son of the late Donat and Angelina (Buisson) Petit, he lived in Riverside for 63 years.

Mr. Petit was a mechanic for the United States Postal Service for 25 years, before retiring in 1987.Aram was a 60 year communicant and usher at St. Brendan Church. He was a former member of the Bishop Hickey Knights of Columbus and the DAV Chapter #8.

Mr. Petit was a United States Army Veteran serving during WWII.

Besides his wife of 63 years, he is survived by a son; Mark W. Petit of Gainesville, FL, three daughters; Meride J. Dooriss of Punta Gorda, FL, Loretta M. Deveau of East Providence and Anne T. Browning of North Providence, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday March 27, 2012 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10:00 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
