Bates, Arolin, L., 86, formerly of Carousel Drive, Riverside, died peacefully on January 24, 2015. She was the wife of the late Donald Bates and the late Albert Farrar.

Born in Cranston, a daughter of Earle Burnham, she lived in Riverside for 29 years.

Mrs. Bates a secretary for the Flynn Towel Co. of East Providence for 7 years before retiring in 1967.

She is survived by a son, Earle Farrar of East Providence; two daughters, Judith Gillette of Coventry and Gail Farrar of Indiana and four grandchildren.

Her funeral service and burial will be private.
