Martitz, Arthur, H., Jr., 67, of Lincoln Street, died peacefully on January 1, 2016 after a year long battle with Glioblastoma. He was the beloved husband of Deborah Lee (Luther) Martitz.

Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Arthur H. Martitz Sr. and Jeanette (Forcier) Whitwam. Artie was co-owner of Hope Cleaners with his wife Debbie.

Art was a Lieutenant for the Rhode Island Department of Corrections from 1981-2005. He was a Vice President of the ACI Union and a member of the Anglers Club.

Besides the love of his life Debbie, he is survived by a daughter, Tammy Lee Paul (Peter) of Carey, NC; a son, Jamiel A. Martitz (Krista) of Tiverton; three grandchildren, Brooke Paul, Caroline Paul and Cooper Paul and a sister, Beverly Nickerson.
