Belcastro, Barbara A., (Bessette), 83, of Goldsmith Avenue, died peacefully on August 25, 2016.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Elie and Mary (Treacy) Bessette, she lived in East Providence most of her life.

Mrs. Belcastro was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. She was a devoted Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph Belcastro and his wife Lori of Pawtucket and Anthony Belcastro and his wife Linda of Florida; three brothers, Richard Bessette of Providence, Gerald Bessette of Riverside and John Bessette of Florida; three sisters, Kathy Francis of Smithfield, Dorothy Oakland of Ohio and Ann Hathaway of Idaho; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Ronald Belcastro.

Her funeral service will be held on Thursday September 1, 2016 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, North Attleboro, MA. Calling hours are Wednesday 4-8 p.m.
