McGinn, Barbara, J., (Darezzo), 83, of Windward Lane, died peacefully on August 28, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Richard J. McGinn and the late Charles R. Rupp.

Born in Barrington, a daughter of the late Nicola and Josephine (Bagaglia) Darezzo, she lived in Bristol for 30 years.

Mrs. McGinn earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree at URI. She was a librarian in the Providence Public School System for 18 years before retiring in 1990.

Barbara was a member of the North Farm Association, the Barrington Between-The-Bridges Girls Club and loved the Aqua Aerobics Gang at the Newman YMCA. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels for many years. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, literature, attending the theatre and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by a son; Michael F. McGinn of New York, NY, a daughter; Patricia M. Francis and her husband Chris of Bristol, a sister; Maria Bridges of Barrington and three grandchildren; Nikola, Christopher and Casey Francis. She was the sister of the late Corinne Natal and Rita Andrade.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday September 14, 2013 in St. Alexander Church, 221 Main Street, Warren at 11 am. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bristol.
