Bell, Beatrice C., 85, of Crown Avenue, died peacefully on April 29, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late George H. Bell Jr.
Born in Melrose, MA, a daughter of the late Phillip and Gertrude (Shanley) Painchaud, she lived in East Providence for 83 years.
Mrs. Bell was a communicant of St. Martha’s Church. She was a member of the Rumford Women’s Bowling League, the Seekonk YMCA Swimming Club and the Riverside Women’s Sewing Club for 55 years. Beatrice enjoyed spending time with her loving family.
She is survived by a daughter; Elizabeth M. (Bell) Gilheeney and her husband John of Coventry, a son; George H. Bell III and his wife Sandra of Riverside, a twin sister; Marie Gleason of Naples, FL, two brothers; Richard Painchaud of Tempe, AZ and Phillip Painchaud of Brea, CA, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held on Friday May 4, 2012 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 9:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Martha’s Church, Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
