Nallen, Bernard, V., ‘Bernie’, 84, of Fuller Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully at home at March 13, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Constance (Church) Nallen.

Born in East Providence, the son of the late Bernard F. and Frances L. (Gorgolione) Nallen, he lived in Riverside for 61 years.

Mr. Nallen was a truck driver for Teamster Local #251 for many years.

Bernie was a former Boy Scout Leader for St. Mark’s Episcopal Church Troop #1. He enjoyed spending time with his loving family.

Mr. Nallen was a United States Navy Veteran serving his country proudly during the Korean War.

Besides his wife of 62 years, he is survived by his children, Michael C. Nallen and his wife Joyce of Riverside, Laurie A. Bense and her husband William of Seekonk, MA and Scott F. Nallen and his wife Anne of Riverside; eight grandchildren, Abigail and her husband Nicholas Carter, Carrie, Kelly and Maxwell Bense, Scott F. Nallen Jr. and his wife Ciara, Brian F. Nallen and his wife Kait, Emily and Rachel Nallen and three great grandchildren, Lilah and Gavin Nallen and Tucker Prue. He was the brother of the late Bernice V. Nallen, Mary A. Nallen, Iris L. Nallen and Muriel J. Reid.

Calling hours will be held on Friday March 18, 2016 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside from 4-7 p.m.

His funeral will be held on Saturday March 19, 2016 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service in the Swan Point Cemetery Redwood Chapel, Blackstone Blvd., Providence at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Swan Point Cemetery.
