Bestwick, Bertha, M., 97, of Barrington Cove, Bay Spring Avenue, died peacefully on Tuesday June 19, 2012 surrounded by her loving family at the Riverview Health Care Center, Coventry. She was the wife of the late Leslie J. Bestwick.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Otto and Lillian E. (Stevenson) Feld, she lived in Barrington for 33 years and East Providence for 40 years.

Mrs. Bestwick was a winder for the former Rhode Island Lace Works for 35 years before retiring in 1980.

Bertha enjoyed traveling, country music and walking. A sports enthusiast she was a devoted Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruin fan.

She is survived by a daughter; Barbara A. Faella of Riverside, a son; Allen E. Bestwick Sr. of Port Orange, FL, a brother; Calvin C. Feld and his wife Molly of East Providence, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be held on Monday June 25, 2012 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 11 am. Calling hours are Sunday 4-8 pm. Burial will be held in Forest Chapel Cemetery.
