Pontarelli, Beverly, D., (Read), 80, of ‘Harborview’, 3663 Pawtucket Avenue, died peacefully on June 25, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Anthony E. Pontarelli.

A lifelong resident of Riverside, she was the daughter of the late Ellsworth and Doris (Wheeler) Read.

Mrs. Pontarelli was a bookkeeper for the former Haywood Optical Co., Seekonk, MA for many years. She then went on to be a Pharmacy Technician for CVS, Riverside for 10 years.

Beverly enjoyed playing cards, reading and playing bingo.

She is survived by four daughters, Joanne E. Greene of Pawtucket, Diane J. Gallagher of Riverside, Cynthia S. Saillant of Riverside and Sandra L. West of Pawtucket; a brother, Harvey Read of East Providence; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Roslyn Langevin.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday July 19, 2014 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 1 p.m. Calling hours will be held from 12-1 p.m. Flowers are respectfully omitted.
