DiQuinzio, Carmen, 85, of Valentine Drive, Barrington died peacefully on June 1, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Mary A. (DiBari) DiQuinzio.

Besides his wife of 58 years, he is survived by his daughter, Anne L. and her husband Christopher Chambers, and his son, Paul C. DiQuinzio, of Barrington. He was a devoted and loving grandfather to Kristina Chambers, the joy of his life. He was the brother of Romeo DiQuinzio of Barrington and the late Clementina Paolozzi, Alfred, Domenic and Angelo DiQuinzio.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Grazio and Margaret (Cuzzone) DiQuinzio, he was a lifelong resident of Barrington. Before he retired in 1996, Mr. DiQuinzio was the President of C. DiQuinzio & Son for 46 years. He was a communicant of Holy Angels Church where in 1957, he designed and built a shrine that was dedicated to the Feast of the Assumption.

For over 58 years, he was a member of the Bristol County Lions Club. In 1994, Carmen received the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award from the Lions International Foundation ‘ the highest form of recognition for exemplary service to his club and the community. Throughout the years, he received numerous other awards including, in 2002 the Lifetime Lions Award for his continuous service, generosity and dedication to the club.

He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family He was known as the local expert on picking and preserving mushrooms.

His funeral will be held on Monday June 6, 2011 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angel Church, Maple Avenue, Barrington at 10 am Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
