Almeida-Long, Cathleen, B., (Blake), 70, of Princess Pine Drive, died peacefully at home on June 7, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of James D. Almeida.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Richard H. and Dorothy (Nolan) Blake, she lived in Rehoboth, MA for 22 years previously residing in East Providence and Barrington.

Mrs. Long-Almeida was a medical secretary in the Cat Scan Department at Rhode Island Hospital for 34 years before retiring in 2011.

A sports enthusiast, Cathleen was an avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, David M. Long and his wife Eileen of Rehoboth, MA; two daughters, Deborah J. Long of Rumford and Kirsten M. Charette and her husband David of East Providence; a step-daughter, Jean E. Almeida of W. Melbourne, FL and two grandchildren, Thomas Long and Lexie Mae Charette.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday June 11, 2015 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Martha’s Church, Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday 5-8 p.m.
