MacGovern, Cheryl, A., 63, of Third Street, died unexpectedly on January 3, 2013 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Fall River, MA, a daughter of Joseph Ferreira of Barrington and the late Eleanor (Giannattasio) Ferreira, she lived in Barrington for 41 years.

Mrs. McGovern was a manager for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., the Providence Washington Insurance Co. and the American Universal Insurance Co. for 35 years. She was a volunteer for the Rhode Island SPCA and loved spending time with her animals.

Besides her father, she is survived by a sister; Robyn K. Silvia of West Warwick, a brother-in-law; Kenneth M. Kilduff of West Warwick and her niece; Nariah Silvia of West Warwick.

Her funeral will be held on Monday January 7, 2013 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:15 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 9:30 am. Calling hours are Sunday 7-9 pm.
