Lieve Tante Ineke!
Dear Aunt Ineke!
I was always impressed every time my mother, your sister Corrie, told us the story about her sister Ineke, who was able to convince her parents that she had found the love of her live and was allowed to continue her live on the other side of the oceaan.
I remember your bright laughter I heard on an a old cassette tape that was brought back by my parent after their holiday with you and Uncle Oliver in 1974.
I also have warm memories from 1980 when I stayed at 55 Park Drive for three weeks with my brother Hans.
We slept in the caravan in the garden. We had a great time with the whole family.
It were valuable moments when we met you and your daughters in The Netherlands a few times.
Also on behalf of my father Karel Verschure (married to Corrie van de Ven, late sister), we wish the family a lot of strength during the current sad period.

We are shocked to hear that our aunt Ineke has passed away. We wish you and the whole family all the best. We sympathize with you from the Netherlands. Would you also like to pass on our condolences to the entire family of Oliver and Ineke Sampson. Lots of strenght in the coming weeks. In the Netherlands I now think back with great pleasure to the holiday that my brother Peter and I were allowed to spend with you in 1980 !!!! 41 years ago!!!!

dear family of auntie Ineke, as we know her.
i allways felt how powerfull she was leaving the Netherlands after Worldwar2.
she went as a young woman to an unkown new life, with new family and new habits.
i think she succeeded in being happy and well placed. we wish you all the best and strength. My parents visited Providence in 1974, when MaryAnn got married. they had good memories and told many stories about Oliver and the trip to Cap Cod.
best of love from Anne Marie and Marc Verschure from Dordrecht NL, the place where Ineke was born!
To all the family I’m at a lose for words as aunty was a wonderful person to me. I’m going to miss her.
We are so sad to hear of Mrs. Sampson’s passing.
I can recall her voice from way back in my childhood days. The Sampson’s were such good neighbors.
Our condolences on behalf of my mom and the Francis family.
May god bless.
Diane and family,
Your mom was a big part of my childhood. Always treated me as one of her own including being reprimanded. To this day 65+ years later she has always held a special place in my heart. She was a loving and giving person. God has called her home to get her Angel wings. May she rest in peace.
Love,
Janice
