Paulhus, Clara, (Claire), Theresa, age 80, of Longs, SC, formerly of Union Street, Riverside, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2013, at Conway Medical Center, Conway, SC.

Claire was born to the late Louis and Imelda (Rousseau) Dias on January 12, 1933 in Rehoboth, Ma. She grew up in Riverside, RI and attended East Providence High School graduating in 1951.

Claire was a passionate homemaker and later held positions in sales and customer service, served as an administrative assistant, and owner/manager of Prime Positions Search Group, a job recruitment and consulting company.

She loved family gatherings and would often spend days in the kitchen cooking and baking cookies, cakes and pies. Holidays were always a special time for her family. She also loved golf, crosswords, reading, and attending the book club at her local library.

Claire is survived by her son Robert A. Paulhus of Longs, SC, daughter Deborah Paulhus of New York City, NY, son James Paulhus and wife Bonnie of Auburn, MA, son Jeffrey Paulhus of Sutton, MA. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Jason Paulhus, Kristine Malmquist, Jared Paulhus, Nicole Paulhus, Joshua Paulhus, Jaclyn Paulhus, two great grandchildren Hailey and Keegan, also sister Joan and husband Stuart Schuler of Warwick, RI and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Claire was predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, Robert E. Paulhus and parents Louis and Imelda Dias. She was also predeceased by her two brothers Louis and Richard Dias and daughter-in-law Lisa Paulhus. She also leaves behind a lot of loving friends and relatives.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday November 2, 2013 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside, RI, at 8 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 9 am. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday 4-8 pm.
