Geoffrey, Daniel C., 64, of Brookfield Road, East Providence, died peacefully at home on January 25, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Edward R. and Georgette A. (Wylie) Geoffrey, he lived in East Providence for the past 3 months, previously residing in Newport for 20 years.

Mr. Geoffrey was a Clerk for the United States Postal Service at the Newport Post Office from 1987-2007.

Daniel enjoyed reading and spending time on the internet with family and friends.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters, George Geoffrey of Florida, Cecile Theroux of Whitinsville, MA, Patricia D’Aiello of Rehoboth, MA, Paul Geoffrey of Seekonk, MA, Veronica Thomas of East Providence, Rilla Bieberbach, Edward Geoffrey and Denise Geoffrey all of Riverside, several nieces and nephews and several grandnieces and nephews. He was the partner of the late Allen Lester.

His Funeral Service will be private. A Celebration of his Life will be held when those who loved him can gather safely. Contributions in Daniel’s memory to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 would be deeply appreciated.

  5. I was saddened to read that my old friend Danny had passed. We went through Primrose Hill, Barrington middle and high school together and were good friends. I pulled out my yearbook to show my wife his photo, I chuckled when I read what he wrote… He remembered an adventure we had when we were about 12 years old, riding the bus to Providence to visit his father at work, and then we spent the afternoon riding the elevators at the Outlet Company! Boy have times changed. It’s too bad we lost contact after high school. My condolences to all the Geoffrey siblings. RIP my friend.
