MacPhee, Daniel J., 96, formerly of Primrose Hill, Barrington, died peacefully on December 12, 2016 surrounded by his loving family in Colchester, VT. He was the husband of Marie (Lynch) MacPhee and the late Lois A. (Lynch) MacPhee.

Born in Boston, MA, a son of the late John W. and Margaret (McKinnon) MacPhee, he lived in Barrington for 51 years and Hilton Head, SC for 11 years.

Mr. MacPhee was one of the founders of North Atlantic Millwork Corp. for 16 years before retiring in 1987.

Daniel was a communicant of St. Luke Church. He was the founder of the Woodchuckers Golf League. He also was the founder of the Barrington American Legion Post #8 baseball team. In 1979 they were Rhode Island State Champions, New England Regional Champions and runner-up in the National Championship.

Mr. MacPhee was a United States Army Veteran serving during World War II.

Besides his wife of 10 years, he is survived by two sons, Michael J. MacPhee of Pawtucket and D. Kevin MacPhee and his wife Cynthia of Titusville, FL; a brother, John H. MacPhee of Tampa, FL; three grandchildren and one great grandson. He was the father of the late Gary J. MacPhee.

His funeral will be held on Monday December 19, 2016 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, East Providence at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
