Daniel J. Pezzullo Jr.

Date of Passing:

December 16, 2025

Daniel Joseph Pezzullo Jr., lovingly known as “Danny,” age 60, passed away peacefully at home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving wife of 29 years, Dawn (Fantasia) Pezzullo of Coventry, and his devoted family.

Born to Jacquelyn Pezzullo and the late Daniel Pezzullo Sr., Danny was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He leaves behind four beautiful daughters: Kerin (Scarpa) Brien and her husband, Kyle Brien, of Coventry; Dawn Paliotti and her husband, Michael Dussault Sr., of West Warwick; Nicole Paliotti and her wife, Loretta Paliotti, of Pascoag; and Angelyna Paliotti-Pezzullo and her partner, Erion Note, of Staten Island, NY. He is also survived by his sister, Karen Pezzullo, and his brother, Kevin Pezzullo, both of Riverside.

Danny was a proud grandfather to Dominic Grenga, Tyla Anelundi and his partner, Summer Paquette, Gianna (Rebelo) Proulx and her husband, U.S. Navy Seaman Noah Proulx, Antonio Paliotti, Army PFC Michael Dussault Jr., Brooklyn Borges, Ryder Borges, and Mark Marr. He also leaves behind twelve nieces and nephews.

A 1983 graduate of Barrington High School, Danny was a former member of the Matadors Drum and Bugle Corps in his youth. He dedicated his career to the trucking industry as a commercial tractor-trailer driver. He began hauling cars with Virginia Transportation, later worked with Ocean State Recovery, and most recently found great joy in his position at American Aerial Equipment, making many lifelong friends along the way. He was also a proud member of IUOE Local 57 and Local 4.

Outside of work, Danny found joy in baking for his family, gardening, and spending time with those he loved. Some of his fondest memories were made fishing at Canobie Lake, New Hampshire, with his cousins Joe and Shelley German, and enjoying family dinners hosted by his brother-in-law, Dino Fantasia, and his wife, Jackie, along with extended family and lifelong friends Mona and Joe Leddy, Sandy and Fred Curran, and Joe and Shelley German.

Daniel will be remembered for his infectious laughter, warm smile, and especially his love of cake. Anyone who knew Danny knew how much he loved a good slice of cake.

His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside. Burial will follow in Santa Maria del Campo Cemetery, Upland Way, Barrington, RI.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

In honor of Danny’s memory and his favorite color, the family kindly asks guests wear blue to the service instead of black.
