Penedo, Debbie F., 58, of Riverside Drive, Riverside Terrace, died unexpectedly on October 26, 2019.

Born in Los Angeles, California, a daughter of the late Emile J. and Mildred F. (Tatarian) Gagnon, she was a lifelong resident of Riverside.

Mrs. Penedo was a Director Support Professional for The Arc of Blackstone Valley, Pawtucket for the past 5 years. She enjoyed her yard, pool, animals and spending time with her loving friends.

She is survived by her devoted dog Addison.

A Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday November 9, 2019 at 3 p.m. in the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside. Calling hours are 1-3 p.m.

Contributions in Debbie’s memory to the RISPCA, 186 Amaral Street, Riverside, RI, 02915 would be deeply appreciated.

  1. This is so terribly sad. I just looked you up to see if we could get back in touch and I found this. We have been friends since you rescued a terrified 7th grader on my first day in public school. I so wish I had done this sooner.

  2. Cousin Debbie you will forever be in our hearts and memories. Thank you for always being so good to Stephanie and I. We will miss you and wish we got to see you more. You would love our boys! I will never forget how you would tell us all the bad things that could happen if we bit our nails. Thanks to you I never bite my nails! Lol! We love you.

  3. Debbie I can’t believe you’re not a phone call away. No matter what direction our lives took, we always never missed a beat when we got together. You knew how much Stephen and I loved you, and we are thankful for that . And Stephanie and Lindsey always loved you and thought you were so thoughtful, fun and loving.
    We are all devastated and our hearts are breaking. You will forever be in our hearts. We love you.

  4. OH, Deb! Are u really not there? Geez, We just got to be friends. Born the same day, and all. Wonderful neighbor to Ray, Always looking out 2 make sure he was safe! Just losing Your own Mom, Millie, At 93yrs old. Had to be hard on you, our friend. I will forever remember in the short time I knew you, what a wonderful person you are, daughter, neighbor, friend and heart of gold. YOU WILL BE SO MISSED BY SO MANY!
