O’Connell, Doris, A., 75, of Allen Avenue, died peacefully on October 31, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Daniel G. O’Connell.

Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Albert E. and Sarah (McGill) England, she lived in Barrington for 49 years.

Mrs. O’Connell was a quality control inspector for the Magnetic Seal Corp. for 22 years before retiring in 2004.

She is survived by a daughter; Susan D. Gagnon and her husband Thomas of Riverside; a son, Eric A. O’Connell of Barrington; a brother, Thomas England of Cumberland; a sister, Sally Scanlon of Pawtucket; two step-sons, Daniel G. O’Connell and Patrick M. O’Connell, both of Douglas, MA; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Janet England.

Her funeral will be held on Friday November 6, 2015 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 10:45 a.m. with a funeral service in the United Methodist Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Springvale Cemetery, Rumford. Calling hours are Thursday 5-8 p.m.
