Morton, Doris, M., 88, of Riverside House, 1061 Willett Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on April 16, 2010. She was the wife of the late William A. Morton.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Gerrior) Kittell, she lived in Riverside for 63 years.

Mrs. Morton was co-owner and operator with her late husband of the former Bill Morton Store for 25 years. She enjoyed playing bingo.

She is survived by a daughter; Barbara A. Lemos of Riverside, one grandson, six great grandsons and one great great granddaughter. She was the sister of the late Ella Holmes, Florence LePage, Gladys Horton, Ruth Farmanian, Henry, William, Charles and Earl Kittell.

Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday April 21, 2010 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 12 noon. Calling hours are Wednesday morning 11 am to 12 noon. Burial will follow in Springvale Cemetery, Rumford.
