McHugh, Dorothee, V., 90, of Elton Road, died peacefully on August 9, 2010 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Thomas A. McHugh.

Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Clarence A. and Dorila (Millette) Trudelle, she lived Barrington for 59 years.

Mrs. McHugh worked for the Federal Government in purchasing supply offices at Camp Edwards in Bourne, MA, U.S. Engineers in Boston, MA and the Providence VA Medical Center for 15 years before retiring in 1954.

Dorothee was a communicant of St. Luke Church where she was a founding member of the first St. Luke Church Choir. She was a past President of the Altar Guild, a C.C.D. Teacher and a former member of the Women’s Golf League. She was a member of the Barrington Women’s Club, where she coordinated the compilation of the cook book, whose proceeds were donated to Save The Bay.

Mrs. McHugh attended Bryant College, where she played the violin in the Student Orchestra. During her illness, Dorothee was cared for by dedicated aids, especially; Barbara, Grace, Jaimie, Janet, Jean, Lauren, Liz, Lori and Pat.

She is survived by a daughter; Bette Ann McHugh of Barrington, two cousins; Elaine and Judy Ball of New Bedford and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Raymond A. and Edmond A. Trudelle.

Her funeral will be held on Friday August 13, 2010 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 9 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 10 am. Graveside burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
