Tillou, Dorothy, E., (Lewis), 91, of ‘Harborview’ 3663 Pawtucket Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center on August 7, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Tillou.

Born in Poughkeepsie, NY, a daughter of the late Harry and Jenney (Jenson) Lewis, she lived in Riverside for 85 years.

Mrs. Tillou was a telephone operator at Miriam Hospital for many years before retiring in 1985.

Dorothy was a resident commissioner and board member of the Harborview Tenants Association. She was an East Providence election voting polling clerk for the past two decades. She enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and animals. She was an avid beach lover and enjoyed wintering in Punta Gorda, FL.

She is survived by two sons, Gary M. Tillou and his wife Barbara of Bristol and Kevin J. Tillou of Riverside; four grandchildren, Joeleen A. Remond of East Providence, Raymond J. Remond of East Providence, Gary M. Tillou Jr. of Warwick and Brittany A. Pereira of Bristol and six great grandchildren, Cote, Kylee, Cassidy, Julian, Jaden and Hannah. She was the mother of the late Sgt. Gordon H. Remond E.P.P.D. and sister of the late Virginia Williams.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday August 12, 2015 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
