Pomoransky, Edith M., 88, of Congress Road, died peacefully on April 4, 2014. She was the wife of the late Thomas A. Pomoransky.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Harry and Lillian (Burke) Ashton, she lived in Barrington for 50 years.

Mrs. Pomoransky was a Senior Aid at the East Bay Geriatric Center for four years. She previously was a salesperson in the retail field for many years.

Edith enjoyed spending time with her loving grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter; Debra L. Rodrigues of Swansea, MA, two sisters; Barbara Mackenzie of Barrington and Virginia Marks of Johnston, two brothers; James Aston and Charles Ashton both of Providence, a grandson; Jeffery Rodrigues and his wife Elisha of Swansea and two great grandsons; Justin and Jordan Rodrigues. She was the mother of the late David Pomoransky and sister of the late Violet Winn and Minnie Noreiko.

Her funeral service will be held on Monday April 7, 2014 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday morning 10 am – 12 noon. Flowers are respectfully omitted.
