Chagnon, Edna, M., 91, of Hoppin Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on January 4, 2013.

Born in Newport, a daughter of the late Sidney and Rose (Coleman) Durrant, she was a lifelong resident of Riverside.

Ms. Chagnon was a CNA at United Methodist Health Care Center and a receptionist at the Orchard View Manor.

Edna was a communicant of St. Mark Episcopal Church, Riverside and active in the Episcopal Club for Women. She was a member of the Rumford Grange for 55 years. She enjoyed music, singing, solving crossword puzzles and spending time with her loving family.

She is survived by a daughter; Carol J. O’Brien of Riverside, three granddaughters; Dena M. O’Brien of Riverside, Dawn M. Clarke and her husband William of Barrington and Shannon B. Rosciti of Lincoln and four great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Bernard Durrant and his wife Trudy.

Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday January 9, 2013 in the Saints Matthew & Mark Episcopal Church, 5 Chapel Road, Barrington at 10 am to which relatives and friends are invited. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Providence. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
