Dudzik, Edward F., 92, of Barton Avenue, died peacefully October 1, 2010 at the Rhode Island Veterans Home, Bristol. He was the husband of the late Beatrice (D’Arezzo) Dudzik.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Peter and Mary (Bryda) Duzik, he lived in Barrington for 60 years.

Mr. Dudzik was a truck driver for Teamsters Local #251 for 25 years before retiring in 1978.Edward was a communicant of St. Alexander Church, Warren.

Mr. Dudzik was a United States Navy Veteran serving during WWII, where he survived a 42 day ordeal in a lifeboat across 2,300 miles of the Atlantic Ocean.

He is survived a daughter; Jane M. Willis of Lincoln, two sons; Robert E. Dudzik of New York City, NY and Kenneth P. Dudzik of Waxhaw, NC and three grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Vincent Dudzik, Stacia Amaral and Frances McDonald.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday October 6, 2010 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue Riverside at 8:30 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Alexander Church, Main Street Warren at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Santa Maria del Campo Cemetery Upland Way, Barrington. Calling hours are Tuesday 4-7pm.
