Lynch, Edward, J., ‘Ted’, 80, of Walnut Road, died peacefully on November 16, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Mary Lou (Lyons) Lynch.

Born in Fall River, MA, a son of the late Thomas and Gertrude (Roberts) Lynch, he lived in Barrington for 42 years.

Mr. Lynch was the President of Health Care Review for 20 years before retiring in 1996. He was a United States Army Veteran.

Edward was a graduate of Providence College Class of 1956 and received his Master’s Degree from the University of Rhode Island Class of 1968.

Mr. Lynch was a communicant of St. Luke Church. A sports enthusiast, he was a devoted New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox and Providence College Friars basketball fan. He was an avid reader of classic literature, philosophy and World War II history.

Besides his wife of 56 years, he is survived by a son; Christopher A. Lynch of Barrington, four daughters; Susan Lynch Connelly and her husband Sean of Denver, CO, Lisa Lynch LaTorre and her husband James of Duxbury, MA, Laurie Lynch Oh and her husband Kenneth of East Greenwich and Ellen Lynch Catlett and her husband Daniel of Leesburg, VA, two brothers; Thomas Lynch of Barefoote Bay, FL and William Lynch of Fall River, MA and twelve grandchildren.

His funeral will be held on Thursday November 21, 2013 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 10 am. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Forest Chapel Cemetery, Nayatt Road, Barrington.
