Otis, Edward O., III, 84, of Wampanoag Trail, Barrington, died peacefully on August 11, 2020 at the Royal Middletown Nursing Center, Middletown. He was the beloved husband of Carol A. (Jaques) Otis.

Born in Boston, MA, a son of the late Edward O. Otis Jr. and Charlotte (Hilton) Otis, he lived in Barrington for the past 6 years previously residing in Riverside for 55 years.

Mr. Otis was a Sales Representative in the jewelry industry for 37 years before retiring in 1998.

Edward enjoyed playing golf.

Mr. Otis was a United States Navy Veteran.

Besides his wife of 57 years, he is survived by his children, Lee Levesque of Swansea, MA, Joanne Warren of Ossipee, NH and Edward “Ted” Otis IV of Homer, AK; five grandchildren; a niece and two nephews. He was the brother of the late James H. Otis and Joan Otis Peterson.

His funeral will be private. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.

Thank you for always encouraging and supporting me to pursue my passions in life, beginning with little league baseball (where you joined the board and umpired games), to joining the US Marine Corps (where you and mom flew down to Parris Island for graduation), to going to college and then grad school (again attending graduation), to moving to Alaska to pursue a career as a fisheries biologist (for which you lit the spark by introducing me to fishing and the outdoors when I was a kid). Whatever I am, I wouldn’t be without the love and support of you and mom. Rest in peace Pop.
