Egge, Edwin M. “Ted”, 55, of Washington Road, Barrington, died unexpectedly on July 2, 2020 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Dina M. (Croce) Egge.

Born in Providence, a son of Jay and Diane (Porter) Egge of Barrington, he was a lifelong resident of Barrington.

Mr. Egge was an assistant professor at New England Institute of Technology in the Automotive Department for 15 years. He previously was a master tech at the Viti Mercedes Benz Dealership.

Ted was a graduate of Barrington High School Class of 1982. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Roger Williams College Class of 1987. He enjoyed golfing, hockey, cars and spending time with his loving family.

Besides his wife of fifteen years, he is survived by two daughters, Samantha M. Egge and her fiancé Brian Sullivan, currently residing in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Tess D. Egge of Barrington; a son, William M. Egge of East Providence, a brother, Timothy Egge and his wife Devon of Barrington, and his nieces and nephews.

His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday July 9, 2020 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Forest Chapel Cemetery, Nayatt Road, Barrington.

Calling hours are Wednesday 4-7 p.m. Flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in Mr. Egge’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd., Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886 would be deeply appreciated.

I had a lot of fun rebuilding my boyfriends Hilux engine in his class. He was a very kind and helpful professor. He will be greatly missed by the automotive students at NEIT.
