Eileen F. Lindenburg

Eileen Frances (Prendergast) Lindenburg, 83, of Bristol, RI, peacefully entered eternal life on February 18th, at Massachusetts General Hospital. She was surrounded by her loving family and is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Nora Prendergast. In addition to spending time with her family and friends, Eileen loved dancing, decorating and traveling. As a teenager, she was selected to sing a solo at Carnegie Hall, in New York City. Eileen had style and paired that fashion sense with her entrepreneurial spirit to open a very successful woman’s clothing boutique, in Barrington, RI, called The Heather Shoppe, for nearly two decades.

Eileen is survived by her brother, Richard Prendergast, of New Hyde Park, NY; her sister, Dorothy, of Warren, RI; and her three children, Keith Lindenburg and his fiancé Alice Holland, of Havertown, PA; Doreen Lindenburg, of Barrington, RI; and Patricia Ross and her husband, Gary, of Cohasset, MA. Her grandchildren, a joy in her life, include Margaret and Kate Lindenburg, Nolan Lindenburg, Ryan and Amanda Ross, and her great granddaughter, Isla Ross.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Marie (Prendergast) Bye and Noreen “Pat” (Prendergast) Irving.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday February 23, 2019 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol at 10 a.m. Calling hours are Friday February 22, 2019 from 5-7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Eileen’s memory.
