O’Hara, Eleanor C., (Collins), formerly of Sprague Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on October 25, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late James B. O’Hara Jr.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late John T. and Bridget nee (McBrien) Collins, both from County Sligo, Ireland, she lived in Riverside for 40 years. Eleanor was very proud of her Irish heritage.

Mrs. O’Hara was a communicant of St. Brendan Church and a member of the parish Forever Young Club. She was a graduate of St. Xavier’s High School and Bryant College.

She is survived by her children, Patricia E. O’Hara of Providence, James B. O’Hara III of Riverside, John T. O’Hara of South Kingstown and Maureen F. Allen of Riverside; six grandchildren, Christine Arnold, John and Caitlin O’Hara, Michael Carmone, Daniel and Colleen Allen and three great grandchildren, Lily, John and Delaney O’Hara. She was the sister of the late John H. and Raymond J. Collins. We will miss her wit and gentle presence.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday October 29, 2016 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 9:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
